I'm trying to install gems to my new Ruby project using bundle install. I've set the version of Ruby using rbenv on my OS X 10.8.4 box. I get the following error. A common installation error message that a lot of users are receiving is below: βAn error occurred while preparing the installation. So somehow my disk image has been completely erased and I cant seem to install another operating system. It doesn't show a start up disc in recovery mode. I tried to install Mac OS lion, but it also says can't download additional components needed to install Mac OS X. I cannot get Adobe air to install on Mac OS X 10.6.6. - On an Intel-based Mac that previously used macOS Sierra 10.12.4 or later, you can use Shift-Option-Command-R at startup to install the macOS that came with your Mac, or the closest version still available.
- Reinstall macOS from the App Store instead of using macOS Recovery. If you can't install the latest macOS, you might be able to install an earlier macOS.
- Create a bootable installer, then use it to install macOS on your Mac or another Mac.
